Community – the development of a community requires time and efforts. Every virtual audience is a potential community of learners, in which tolerance and respect among learners is of crucial importance. The use of educational resources and various other ways of communication (e.g. chat, forum, etc.) is a means through which the members of the community take part in its life, discuss and solve problems, learn new ideas. The joint work during activities, based on the interests of the group, provides for establishing relationships among the members of the community, while each one is acquiring new knowledge. A well-organised virtual learning environment is based on the idea that every person needs to belong to a community and to feel useful for its members.

The involvement, communication, establishment of contacts and the development of a community of learners create e prerequisite for the development of knowledge, skills and competences by the learners.
